Troops of Sector 7, Operation Enduring Peace, in collaboration with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have arrested a suspected kidnapper during a security operation in Kamuru village, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The suspect, identified as Husaini Jibrin, 45, was apprehended at about 3:30 a.m. on May 12 during a joint raid carried out by security operatives in the community.
Security sources disclosed that the suspect was allegedly linked to a kidnapping incident that occurred on April 26, 2026, in Angwan Ali community within the same local government area.
According to the sources, preliminary investigations indicated that Jibrin may have been involved in the planning and execution of the abduction, an incident which reportedly heightened fear and tension among residents of neighbouring communities.
Items recovered from the suspect during the operation included a mobile phone and the sum of N10,000 cash.
A counter-insurgency and security affairs analyst, Zagazola Makama, disclosed details of the arrest in a post shared on his social media platform.
Security authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the development, while investigations into the matter are ongoing.
