Hon. Pastor Dennis Yeinbiri Bibaikefie and his newly wedded wife Mrs. Progress Ebiakpor Bibaikefie, have expressed profound gratitude to their church, family members, friends and well-wishers who turned out in large numbers to celebrate their marriage, describing the outpouring of love and support as memorable.

“We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who came out in large numbers to celebrate with us,” Hon. Bibaikefie said on behalf of the couple.

The clergyman made the remarks during a telephone conversation with the IduwiniVoice News Desk while conveying the couple’s appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of their wedding.

“We sincerely appreciate your prayers, financial contributions, kind gestures and physical presence. Your love and support made the occasion truly memorable,” he said.

The marriage activities began with the payment of the bride price on Thursday, September 10, at Obotebe Town in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.

The celebration continued with the solemnisation of the couple’s holy matrimony at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Jesus Chapel Area Headquarters, Warri.

Thereafter, members of both the Redeemed Christian Church of Gob and the Word of Life Bible Church, family members, friends, and well-wishers joined the newlyweds at a colourful, carnival-like reception held at the NNPC Junior Staff Club, DDPA Housing Estate, Ugborikoko, Effurun, Delta State.

The couple, overwhelmed by the prayers, goodwill and support received throughout the celebration, prayed for everyone who honoured them with their time, presence and resources.

“May God richly bless you and do for you whatever you cannot do for yourselves, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen,” they prayed.

“We are deeply grateful. Once again, thank you all for celebrating with us,” the couple concluded.

WARRI — Chief Mulade B. Sheriff, PhD, the Ibe Serimowei of the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, has congratulated the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oboro-Gbaraun II (JP), Aketekpe, Agadagba, on his appointment and successful inauguration as Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Institute for Niger Delta Studies (INDS), Niger Delta University, Amassoma, Bayelsa State.

In a statement signed by Chief Mulade B. Sheriff, PhD, who is also the NDP standard-bearer for the House of Representatives, Warri Federal Constituency, he described the appointment as a befitting recognition of the monarch’s wisdom, intellectual disposition, exemplary leadership and sustained commitment to the advancement of Gbaramatu Kingdom and the wider Niger Delta region.

Chief Mulade said the monarch’s selection to lead the Advisory Council was particularly significant given the strategic role of the Institute for Niger Delta Studies in promoting research and scholarship focused on the socio-economic, environmental and developmental realities of the Niger Delta.

He expressed confidence that the monarch’s wealth of experience, understanding of the region and commitment to sustainable development would contribute significantly to the work of the Advisory Council and the Institute’s focus on socio-ecological justice, regional development and empowerment.

“I warmly congratulate our highly respected royal father, His Royal Majesty, Oboro-Gbaraun II (JP), Aketekpe, Agadagba, Pere of the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, on his appointment and successful inauguration as Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Institute for Niger Delta Studies, Niger Delta University.

The NDP candidate further commended the Institute for Niger Delta Studies and Niger Delta University for recognising the importance of traditional leadership and indigenous knowledge in advancing scholarship and developing sustainable solutions to the challenges confronting the Niger Delta.

He also prayed for divine guidance and strength for the monarch as he assumes his new responsibility, while wishing him sound health and longevity in his continued service to Gbaramatu Kingdom and the Niger Delta.

– As Family Rolls Out Burial Arrangement

The families of L.T. Oguma of Ekeremowei Quarter, Ayakoromo, Labolouseigha and Obotebe in Burutu Local Government Area, as well as Awusa Zidiegha Okoro of Amabra Quarter, Okoloba, in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State, have announced the burial arrangements for their beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Late Mrs. Okoloba-Ere Edna Lawrenta Oguma (Nee: Awusa), who passed away at the age of 74.

In a funeral announcement, the families cordially invites the general public to the Funeral Ceremony in Honour Of Our Beloved Wife, Mother, Grand Mother, Sister and Aunt, as they prepare to lay the deceased to rest.

According to the announcement signed by Patani Ebawa Salalar for the family and Oguma Louis Ezonfade for the children, the funeral programme will commence with a Vigil Mass on Tuesday, November 24, 2026.

A Vigil Mass will hold at 4:00 p.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Oruhwhorun. The main funeral activities are scheduled for Thursday, November 26, 2026. The body will leave Noble Mortuary, Owvian, at 7:00 a.m. for Miller Waterside Jetty. This will be followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Ayakoromo.

The announcement stated that interment follows immediately at her family Compound, Ayakoromo, while an overnight reception will hold at the family compound until dawn where Music will be supplied by Jfred Best May.

The funeral programme will conclude on Sunday, November 29, 2026, with a Thanksgiving Mass at 7:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Ayakoromo.

The family has therefore inviting relatives, friends, well-wishers, and members of the public to join them in honouring the memory of Late Mrs. Edna Lawrenta Oguma and supporting the family during the period of mourning.
