Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Russia is effectively facing opposition from all 32 NATO member states in the ongoing war in Ukraine, insisting that the alliance is openly involved in the conflict.

Speaking on the situation, Putin argued that Western nations are no longer hiding their support for Ukraine, claiming that NATO countries are already participating in actions against Russia through military aid, intelligence support, and weapons supply.

He described the development as a serious challenge for Moscow, but maintained that Russia’s military and defence industry have adapted to the pressure and continue to respond effectively.

Putin has repeatedly accused NATO of being directly or indirectly involved in the war, a claim Western leaders reject. NATO members maintain that they are supporting Ukraine’s defence while not being parties to the conflict.

The war between Russia and Ukraine, which began with Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, has continued to escalate tensions between Moscow and Western nations, particularly NATO allies.

The breakthrough came after intensive diplomatic efforts involving former U.S. President Donald Trump, who claimed to have played a key role in facilitating discussions between the two sides. Russia has carried out one of the most extensive aerial offensives of the war, launching a coordinated wave of drones and missiles against Kyiv and several other Ukrainian cities, leaving dozens dead and scores injured across the country.

The overnight assault, which continued into the early hours of Tuesday, targeted multiple regions simultaneously, triggering widespread destruction and forcing residents to seek refuge in underground shelters and metro stations as air raid sirens echoed across urban centers.

Ukrainian authorities reported that at least 18 people lost their lives while more than 100 others sustained injuries during the attacks. The capital city, Kyiv, was among the hardest-hit locations, with explosions reported in several districts as air defense units attempted to intercept incoming threats.

According to figures released by Ukraine’s Air Force, Russian forces launched a total of 656 attack drones alongside 73 missiles, including cruise, ballistic, and hypersonic variants. Military officials stated that Ukrainian defense systems successfully destroyed the majority of the incoming weapons, intercepting 602 drones and 40 missiles. However, a number of projectiles penetrated the defenses and struck dozens of sites nationwide.

Authorities noted that the operation included the deployment of eight Zircon hypersonic missiles, representing one of the most significant uses of the advanced weapon system since the conflict began.

In Kyiv, falling debris and direct impacts ignited fires in residential complexes, fuel stations, and commercial facilities, causing extensive property damage. Elsewhere, in the city of Dnipro, rescue personnel continued search-and-recovery operations at collapsed buildings, where fatalities, including children, were reported.

Responding to the latest attacks, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky renewed calls for increased military assistance from international partners, particularly additional Patriot air defense systems and interceptor missiles, arguing that Ukraine’s existing stockpiles remain under significant strain amid escalating Russian bombardments.

The latest offensive underscores the continuing intensity of the conflict as both sides remain locked in a prolonged war marked by frequent missile strikes, drone attacks, and mounting humanitarian challenges.
