The people of Odimodi Community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State have expressed profound gratitude to High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, Mr. Matthew Tonlagha, High Chief Kestin and Chief Godfrey Pondi, and entire Tantita Security Services Management for their noble moves towards the completion of the DESOPADEC long-abandoned Odimodi Health Centre project.

The appreciation was contained in a brief statement made available to the IduwiniVoice News Desk by the Chairman of Odimodi Community, Pharm. Benaebi Brian Pondy.

Pondy who superintends over the committee of all Chairman of various communities in Odimodi teritory from Ramos to Forcados river said the community was particularly encouraged by Tantita’s decision to send a team to assess the state of the health facility and the promise to facilitate its immediate completion.

Speaking on behalf of the community, Pondy stated: “We the good people of Odimodi Community hereby express profound gratitude to the Chairman, High (Dr.) Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), the Vice-Chairman, Mr. Matthew Tonlagha, the MD, High Chief Kestin Pondi, the GM Operations, Chief Godfrey Pondi, and the entire Tantita Security Service Management for sending a team on an assessment visit to Odimodi Health Centre, with a promise to effect the immediate completion of the long-abandoned project and make healthcare accessible to our people.”

He described the intervention as significant to residents od Odimodi and many neighbouring communities who have suffered untold hardship, ill-health and death due to lack of improved access to healthcare services within the community.

Reiterating the community’s appreciation, Pondy added: “Your dedication to the welfare of our people is deeply appreciated.”

The leadership of Odimodi community expressed optimism that, given Tantita’s solid track record, the promised completion of the health facility in by no means under any iota of doubt and once operational the facility would help improve access to healthcare for residents when the facility becomes operational.

The Osuopelekarewei of Iduwini Kingdom, Delta State, High Chief Evans Egbesekumor Etimigba (JP), (FICMC, FABEN, MBA), and SA to the Governor of Delta State, has congratulated the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Engr. Kestin Ebimobowei Pondi, on his successful attainment of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Administration from the University of Benin.

Pondi recently completed and defended his PhD thesis in Public Administration at the University of Benin, marking another significant milestone in his professional and academic career. The achievement has attracted congratulatory messages from leaders and stakeholders across the Niger Delta.

In his congratulatory message, High Chief Etimigba described Pondi’s attainment of the doctoral degree as a meritorious achievement, commending his commitment to knowledge, professional development and service.

He noted that earning a PhD while shouldering the responsibilities of leading a major organisation demonstrates discipline, perseverance and a commitment to continuous learning.

Pondi is the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, where he provides leadership in the company’s operations. Tantita’s official profile describes him as a civil engineer and public administrator with more than two decades of experience in security management and business leadership.

Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Pondi has also been a forebearer in initiatives aimed at supporting communities and empowering entrepreneurs in the Niger Delta. In March 2026, for instance, a business grant initiative associated with him provided ₦800 million to 80 entrepreneurs in Delta State.

Etimigba therefore described the new academic qualification as an addition to Pondi’s contributions and express firm belief that he will use the knowledge and experience gained to further strengthen his service to the people.

While celebrating the achievement, the Osuopelekarewei prayed for God’s continued guidance, protection and blessings upon Pondi, wishing him greater wisdom, strength and opportunities to contribute to the development of the Niger Delta and Nigeria.

He also expressed confidence that Pondi’s academic accomplishment would serve as encouragement to younger people in the region to pursue education, professional excellence and meaningful service to society.

The Ijaw Publishers Forum (IPF) has congratulated Dr. Doubra Collins Okotete on his election as the 10th President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, expressing optimism that his leadership will usher in a new era of progress, unity and purposeful service for Ijaw youths.

In a congratulatory message signed by the Secretary of the Forum, Tare Magbei, the IPF described Okotete’s emergence as a reflection of the confidence reposed in his leadership qualities, vision and long-standing commitment to the growth and development of the Ijaw nation.

The media body stated that it is confident the new IYC President possesses the experience, capacity and passion required to drive youth-oriented programmes and strengthen the Council’s role in advancing the collective interests of the Ijaw people.

The Forum noted that, as the umbrella body of Ijaw media owners and publishers, it recognises the critical contributions of the Ijaw Youth Council to promoting peace, unity, sustainable development and the protection of the aspirations of Ijaw communities across the Niger Delta.

According to the statement, the IPF is eager to build a productive relationship with the new leadership of the Council in promoting initiatives that encourage good governance, youth empowerment, environmental justice and inclusive socio-economic development throughout the region.

The Forum also urged Dr. Okotete to provide leadership founded on integrity, courage and inclusiveness while strengthening cooperation among stakeholders for the overall progress of the Ijaw nation.

It expressed confidence that his administration would meet the expectations of Ijaw youths and provide the visionary leadership needed to inspire hope and deliver meaningful results.

The IPF concluded by wishing the newly elected IYC President a successful and impactful tenure, praying for wisdom and strength as he assumes responsibility for leading one of the foremost youth organisations in the Niger Delta.
